How many of us are faced with the issue of trust with people in my industry? Rest assured that most of the dishonest folks are gone. Hopefully, for good!

How many real estate agents have become loan officers? I don't think too many. But many of the loan officers who stayed behind became real estate agents. It has been a great way to maintain informed about the industry and get another perspective on real estate. The good news for consumers is that becoming an agent requires licensing. We have to pass tests, and run fingerprints, etc. So, it may be a very trustworthy position to be in, especially if your agent is a licensed mortgage broker, as well. Having to answer to two departments at the state level is not easy, so honesty must be a quality.

It has been a great experience to be an agent and offer financial services as a licensed broker as well. I am working more closely with my clientele and able to help them in more ways than one.
